Bobby Royce “Teddy” Tedder, Jr., 69, died Saturday, April 11, 2026, in Robeson County.
A native of Columbus County, Teddy was born on Sept. 25, 1967, son of the late Bobby Royce Tedder, Sr. and Jeanette Penny Tedder. He was also preceded in death by his loving son, Joshua Blake Tedder.
A celebration of life service will be conducted at 5 p.m. on Friday, April 17, 2026, at Trinity Baptist Church. Visitation will be held from 3-4:30, prior to the service on Friday, at the church.
Teddy was a graduate of West Columbus High School; upon graduation, he continued his education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Teddy was employed by Farm Bureau Insurance in Whiteville, of which he was selected as “Best Agent in Columbus County” for several consecutive years. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and shared his God-given talent of singing. Teddy was a dear friend to many, and his legacy will live on in the hearts and lives of those who had the honor of knowing him.
To cherish his memory, Teddy leaves behind his dear wife, Rebecca Lynn Huff Tedder; two children, Lucas Allen Tedder, and Mary Caitlin Tedder; grandchildren, Grant, Camden, Maddie, and Briar.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Columbus County Special Olympics.
