WHITEVILLE—Junior Collin Hooks and two hits and scored two runs to help keep Whiteville unbeaten in Southeastern Conference play with a 5-4 victory over Fairmont at Legion Field on Friday night.
The win gives Whiteville (6-0, 11-6) a two-game lead over South Brunswick in Conference play. Fairmont falls to 2-4 in the conference and 5-12 on the year, despite only giving up three hits on the night.
The Pack will travel to Red Springs (0-6, 6-10) on Tuesday, when the Tornadoes go to Boiling Springs to take on South Brunswick (4-2, 11-7).

RED SPRINGS—JT Hepler had four hits to lead West Bladen past Red Springs 10-3 in baseball Friday night.
The win was the sixth in a row for the Knights, who move to 3-3 in The Southeastern Conference and 14-6 on the season. West Bladen will travel Vinegar Hill (3-3, 9-8) on Tuesday, while Red Springs (0-6, 6-10) host Whiteville (6-0, 11-6).
