Baseball Camp Lets Kids Learn from the Champs

Aspiring diamond devotees can learn from the champions in June.

The Columbus County Parks and Recreation in partnership with the 2026 3A NCHSAA Baseball State Champion Whiteville Wolfpack will host the Whiteville Baseball Camp June 15-17.

It will be open to participants children ages 6-14 and will be a great opportunity for players to improve on skills, build confidence, and learn to enjoy the game. It also is an opportunity to meet the 3A Baseball Championship players from Whiteville, while gaining useful knowledge of the game of baseball.

The camp will be led by Coaches Connor Grainger and Coach Byron Tedder alongside the Wolfpack players. The camp will take place at Legion Stadium in Whiteville, home of the Wolfpack.

Sessions will take place June 15-17 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Cost is $75.

Register online with the Columbus County Parks and Recreation site or in-person by cash or check on the first day of camp. The Whiteville baseball team recently won its tenth state championship by beating East Rutherford two out of three game series.
