Tonight’s Columbus County Planning Board has been rescheduled for July 28.
Members of the Clarendon community were planning to attend en masse to protest a planned 14-unit mobile home park known as Boggy Branch. The park is planned for Butlertown Road.
Each of the homes would have its own septic system, according to plans submitted to the county.
Residents are concerned that the development would increase drainage problems during heavy rain events, and could lead to pollution of Beaverdam Swamp.
The county planning board meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m.
