Crews are on the scene of a burst water main in northern Whiteville.
A burst water main is causing traffic delays and water outages in the area of J.K. Powell Boulevard, Smyrna Road and Barbcrest Drive.
Repairs are ongoing. Pressure fluctuations and outages should be expected. The city hopes to have the repairs complete this afternoon.
Motorists are asked to slow down and exercise caution in the area due to workers and heavy equipment.
