At Pinecrest, the Southeastern Fellowship Golf Association (SFGA) played its weekly tournament on July 28, with 27 members participating in a Texas Scramble.
There was a tie for first place. First place went to the teams of Johnny Wallace, Stan Matthews, Rock Hedgepeth, Ray Crabtree and Paul Stanley, Ron Tart, John Blake, Marvin Eason with a score of 122. Third place belonged to Steve Hancock, Michael Pait, Craig Fisher and Alick Mansfield with a score of 123.
The SFGA plays a tournament weekly. The next SFGA event will take place on Aug. 4 at Land O’Lakes.
Land O’Lakes held its annual Club Championship on July 25-26. Championship Flight winner was Clay Huffstetler with a score of 70. Bobby Davis and Landon Rising tied for second posting a score of 74.
White Tee Flight winner was Brian Haymore with a score of 71. The Red Tee Flight belonged to Wilber Storms with a 74. Call 910-642-5757 for more information
The next tournament at Land o’ Lakes is Aug. 14 at 5 p.m. The Nine and Dine will feature a shotgun start.
At Vineland Golf at White Lake, Joel McPherson, Stephen Clark, Blake Davis, Taylor King, Mike Sealey won the weekly Thundering Herd with a score of -7. Ten players participated in the event.
