At Land O’Lakes, the Southeastern Fellowship Golf Association played its weekly tournament Aug. 4. The format was Captain’s Choice with 23 members participating in the event.
First place went to the team of Elvin Meares, Richard Davis, Michael Pait, and Linwood Hedgepeth with a score of 57. Marvin Eaton, Stan Matthews, Johnny Wallace, and Rudy Pait took second with a 58 score.
The teams of Billy Storms, Roger Wallace, Charles Hungerford, and Stephen Lennon tied for third with Rodney Warwick, Timmy Thompson, George Cochran and Breece Horton with a 64 score.

At Vineland Golf Course of Whiteville, the Nine Hole Twilight Tournament is at 5:30 p.m. every Thursday. The course is offering memberships for $75 a month. For more information, call 910.642.3623.
At Vineyard Golf of White Lake, Wesley Hall, Eddie Heustess, Ashton, Robertson, Julian Lennon, and Nathan Brisson took home first prize with a -4 score in the weekly Thundering Herd. 13 players entered the event.
