Today’s report is going to be short-and-sweet as there’s not much to talk about.
A huge Bermuda high pressure ridge will arch westward toward our area today and remain in place through the coming work week. Thunderstorm chances dwindle to nearly zero while heat builds. Temperatures will run quite a bit above normal next week with heat index values likely 105 or higher, which is into the advisory criteria level.
Our highs will be in the mid to upper 90s much of next week… and it wouldn’t surprise me if some dashboard displays read triple digits Tuesday-Thursday.
A glance at the tropics shows that there are no areas of interest at this time.
