Due to the threat of inclement weather, the start of football season has been moved up to Thursday for some local teams.
Heide Trask at East Bladen, West Columbus at Whiteville, and West Bladen at Pender are all now to take place on Thursday (Aug. 19).
Two games — Swansboro at South Columbus and Green Sea Floyd at East Columbus — are still scheduled for Friday.
If there are any changes in these games, we will update as soon as possible.
