The SFGA held its weekly tournament on Aug. 25 at Vineyard Golf Course of White Lake.
The tournament was a two net ball score format. There was a two-way tie for first place.
The teams of Rudy Pait, Ron Tart, Elvin Meares and Wilber Simmons, Stephen Lennon, Billy Malpass, Alick Mansfield both scored a 129. The next SFGA tournament will be on Sept. 1 at Land O’Lakes Golf Course. For more info on tournaments happening at Land O’ Lakes and the SFGA, call 910.642.5757.
At White Lake, Vineyard Golf postponed its weekly Thundering Herd on Thursday due to the weather. The next Thundering herd is scheduled for Aug. 27. For future events at Vineland Golf of White Lake call 910.247.6132.
At Vineland of Whiteville, every Thursday the course has nine-Hole Twilight Tournament that starts at 5:30 p.m. The cost is $18 for members and $21 for non-members.
