Here’s today’s Bottom Line
What a gorgeous day we had across the area on Labor Day, with bright blue sunny skies, low humidity, and highs in the 80s (which is where they should be this time of year). I hope everyone was able to get outside and enjoy some of it.
It’s going to be just as nice about the area today with temps maybe a degree or so higher than yesterday. Humidity stays nice and low, though, so any outdoor plans you have will encounter no issue.
We’ll start a gradual warming trend by midweek. Temps and humidity start to climb Wednesday through Friday ahead of the next frontal system, which is slated to move into the area by the weekend. Friday is going to feel quite hot as the high pressure pushes off the southeast coast, and we’re “pinched” in a southwesterly flow between the high and the approaching front.
Showers and storms are a good bet Friday evening through Saturday, and there could be a severe threat once again depending on how things play out. We won’t be going from such extreme heat, though, so this coming event should be more about beneficial rainfall than severe weather. We’ll have to wait and see.
TROPICS: No Atlantic tropical activity is anticipated over the next 7-10 days.
