WHITEVILLE—The Wolfpack held the East Columbus Gators to one first down as Whiteville crushed the Gators 41-0 on Friday night.

While the defense was strict, the offense was liberal. Ty’Lae Rose rushed for 101 yards and three touchdowns. Luke Mclean completed 12 of 20 passes for 209 yards in the air. Trayvionne Williams was on the receiving end of 118 yards of McLean’s passes. Terry Phillips added two touchdowns rushing for the Pack.

After a slow start, Whiteville got on the scoreboard with a Rose touchdown with 11:35 on the clock in the second period. Izaac Elkins kicked the extra point. Rose crossed the goal line a second time with 7:20 remaining in the half to push the Wolfpack advantage to 14-0. Elkins added the extra point.

In the third quarter, Terry Phillips added to the lead to push the advantage to 28-0 on a 31-yard burst to the endzone. Elkins added the PAT. Rose crossed the goal line for his third touchdown of the night from two yards away to give Whiteville a 34-0 lead with 3:40 remaining in the third quarter.

Logan Little found the endzone from six-yards out with 9:55 left in the contest to give Whiteville its final score of the night, making it Whiteville 41-0 over the Gators.

The Wolfpack moves to 4-0 on the year. Whiteville will travel to Clinton (3-1) while East Columbus (2-2) will host Hobbton (0-4) next Friday.
