Here’s today’s Bottom Line

It’s dry… and guess what… it’s gonna stay that way.

It’s COLD this morning across the area with temps in the upper 30s to the lower 40s. This represents the coldest temps since early this spring. But don’t worry, this afternoon is going to be gorgeous with a deep blue sky and temps around 70.

Strong high pressure will dominate the weather for the next 7-10 days. We’ll continue to be very dry with near to below-normal temps.

Drought conditions will worsen, so please be extra careful with any outdoor burning activities. As you can see here, the model blends are currently showing little to no precipitation through the end of the month.

Tropics: Josephine is now post-tropical, having regained “baroclinicity” (fronts). She will have hurricane-force winds, and while the graphic says H1, it’s not going to be a true hurricane.

Another area has an extremely low chance for development before conditions become unfavorable.
