COVID-19 test sites set across county; results in 36-48 hours

Rapid testing will be available by appointment Friday at the Health Department in Whiteville.

Free COVID-19 testing sites willa open in several communities in the next week.

On Aug. 7, Fair Bluff Town Hall from 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m., then the Buckhead fire department from 4:30-7:30 p.m.

Aug. 8 there will be a testing site set up at ADR Fire-Rescue in Riegelwood from 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m.

On Aug. 10, the site will be Hallsboro Artesia School from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.

A site will operate at Brunswick Town Hall on Aug. 11, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. And on Aug. 13, a site will be set up at Riegelwood Community Park. The tests are free, but you will be asked if you have insurance. Results will generally be available in 36-48 hours. No appointment is required, and you do not have to have symptoms to be tested.
