Patricia Ann “Trish” Greene, age 81, of the Cedar Grove Community in Cerro Gordo, ran into her Savior’s arms on Friday evening, September 4, 2020, at home, with her precious family at her side.
Trish, as she was affectionately known, was born on March 18, 1939. She was the daughter of the late Zeb and Bessie Strickland Green, and the widow of Lemont Clawson “LC” Greene. Her pre-deceased siblings include Tommie Inez Britt, Zeb Green, Jr., Reggie Mae Green, Bernice Green, Morris Green, Harry Lee Green, Thay Wilson, Geneva Green, and Virginia G. Stephens.
Funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 7, 2020, at Worthington Funeral Home, with Rev. Jeff Stocks and Rev. Terry Green officiating; Interment will follow in the Greene Family Cemetery on the Rough and Ready Road.
Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:45, prior to the funeral service.
Trish was a faithful member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church, where she was active in various roles throughout her life. She had a deep love for gospel music, which was a legacy that carried on through the lives of her family. Trish was a hard-worker with many titles, such as homemaker, housewife, and farmer.
To cherish her memory, Trish leaves behind two daughters, Cyndi Greene Williamson of the home, Cheryl Greene Clark and husband, Jack, of Wilmington; grandchildren, Ashely Clark, Erica Clark, J.R. Clark, and Cari Hayes; great-grandchildren, Dylan Clark, Trystyn Hayes, and Bella Hayes; siblings, Sue G. Enzor of Lake Waccamaw, and Lenue Green, of Ocean Isle Beach. Trish also leaves behind 30 niece sand nephews.
