Hosey “HB” Brinston Todd, age 97, of Tabor City, died Friday, June 11, 2021 in Columbus Regional Healthcare System, Whiteville. Born May 25, 1924 in Columbus County, he was the son of the late Walter and Rutha Garrell Todd and the widower of Mary Esther Ward Todd.
He is survived by one son, Terry Todd and his wife Sandy of Raleigh, one daughter, Sonja Todd Norris of Clarendon, two brothers, Elton Todd of Greer, SC and Rev. David Todd, NC, one sister, Mary Williams of Clarendon, seven grandchildren, Todd Norris, Kellie Bunn, Kristen Todd, Michael Suggs, Sean Suggs, Andrea Eckhardt, and Marisa Johnson and eleven great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by one daughter, Meredith Suggs, one son-in-law, James Homer Norris, and one grandson, James Kevin Norris.
HB served his our great Country in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a faithful member of Iron Hill Baptist Church, the past president of the Tabor City Chamber of Commerce and member and past Lt. Governor of the Tabor City Civitan.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 14, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
