January 29, 1941 ~ July 22, 2021 (age 80)
Jinnie Mae Chavis Inman, age 80 of Whiteville, entered into her Heavenly home, early Thursday morning, July 22, 2021 with family by her bedside.
Jinnie was born on January 29, 1941, to the late Tommie Chavis and Mae Stocks Chavis. She was the widow of Rudolph Inman, who preceded her in 2001, and was also preceded in death by her siblings, James Chavis, Don Chavis, and Pearl Lee.
Final rites will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Worthington Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Whiteville Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service on Saturday.
Jinnie was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Whiteville, of which she attended faithfully, until her health declined.
She is survived by two daughters, Cherlene Inman Harrelson of Whiteville and Lisa Inman Ward and husband, Danny, of Whiteville; grandchildren, Courtney Lynn Harrelson (Patrick) and Benjamin Rudolph Harrelson (Anna); great-grandchildren, Payton Cox and Chesney Cribb; siblings, Billy Chavis (Dawn) of Michigan and half-brother, Ken Babson (Dee) of Florida.
