Kenneth Lee Cartrette, age 47 of the China Grove Community in Chadbourn, passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 22, 2021, at Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville.
Kenneth was born on November 30, 1973, in Columbus County. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Wayne Cartrette.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 27, 2021 at McPherson Cemetery in Beaverdam, with Rev. Marcus Fowler officiating.
A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday evening, at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn.
Kenneth loved eagles and was also an avid fisherman.
Kenneth is survived by his mother, Nancy Bryant Cartrette, of the home; siblings, Lynn C. Kinlaw and husband, Mark, of Lumberton, Robert D. Cartrette and wife, Emily, of Whiteville; nieces & nephews, Ellen Harmon (Jason), Catlin Cartrette, Anna Butler, Madison C. Lanehart (Ricky), and Ethan Cartrette; special “sister”, Christine Norris; his girlfriend, Mary “Maggie” Cribb, and a host of cousins, friends, and extended relatives.
