September 10, 1920 ~ October 6, 2021 (age 101)

Thelma Crawford Green 101, of Hallsboro passed on October 6, 2021 at her home.  She was born August 10, 1920, the daughter of the late Samuel Crawford and Katie Pierce Crawford.

She was a member of Hallsboro Baptist Church.  She was the manager of food service at Boy’s and Girl’s home of NC from 1977 until her retirement in 1988.  After retirement she was employed with K-Mart.  She formerly owned and operated Thelma’s Beauty Shop in Palmetta, FL. 

She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Quentin Green, Jr.; her parents;  a brother, Carson Crawford; sisters, Mary Clemmons, Mattie Pierce and Jesse Mae Shipman.

She is survived by three nieces and one nephew.

Her funeral service will be at 11:00 am Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Peacock Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Scott Lewis.  Burial will be in Peacock’s Columbus Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Hallsboro Baptist Church Scholarship Fund, PO Box 86, Hallsboro, NC 28442.
