• Abundant Life Assembly of God will be holding their annual turkey shoot every Friday and Saturday night throughout the month of November at 6:30 p.m. There will be special rounds for children and ladies. The concession stand will be open for food and refreshments. The church is located at 5384 James B. White Highway South in Whiteville.
• Evergreen Volunteer Fire Department will be having their annual turkey shoot beginning Nov. 5, and run every Friday and Saturday night during the month. The shoot will also be open the night before Thanksgiving on Nov. 24. Guns will be locked and loaded starting at 7 p.m. Food and drinks will be available.
• The 701 Turkey Shoot will begin the weekend of Nov. 5-6 and run every Friday through the rest of the month. The event is located at 7971 James B. White Highway South, Whiteville. Competition begins around 7 p.m.
• The annual Tabor City Fire Department Turkey Shoot will run nightly Nov. 19-24. Shooting starts at 6:30 each evening. The event will not be open Sunday, Nov. 21. It’s located on the 701 Bypass near Adam’s Seafood in Tabor City.
•Transformation Church of Whiteville will have a turkey shoot Thursday through Saturday (Oct. 28-30) to raise money for the church building fund. There will be food and extra activities for the kids. No barrels over 32 inches and no turkey chokes. The shot stars nightly at 6:30 p.m.at 9955 James B. White Hwy S. Whiteville. Call 910.640.7332 for more information.
