Willie Elbert Burns, 87, of Whiteville, died Monday, October 11, 2021, at Doctors Hospital in Augusta, GA.
He was a deacon at Cherry Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
A Graveside Service will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, October 19, at Cherry Grove Cemetery, 660 Vinson Boulevard, Whiteville, by Pastor Tommy Burns.
There will be no public viewing.
Surviving are his wife, Juanita H. Burns; daughter, Theresa Pridgen of Whiteville; sons, Willie Burns, Jr. of Las Vegas, NV, Tommy Burns of Hope Mills, NC, Terry Burns of Whiteville, and Donald Burns of Charlotte, NC; sister, Mary Jamison of Greenville; brothers, Claude Burns of Ohio and Joseph Elps of Charlotte.
