Barbara S. Parker, age 72 of Chadbourn, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2021, at Shoreland Health Care in Whiteville.
Barbara was born on August 11, 1949, to the late Robert Edward Parker and Gladys Viola Cartrette Parker. She was also preceded in death by five siblings, Linda Parker, Robert Dale Parker, Wayne Parker, Willow Dean Parker, and Phyllis Cartrette.
A celebration of life service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, November 13, 2021, with a balloon release following at 5:30 p.m. at the residence of Bill and Patricia Horne at 4657 Clarendon-Chadbourn Hwy, Chadbourn, NC.
She is survived by two sons, John Wayne Horne, and Billy E. Horne (Patricia) all of Chadbourn; two siblings, Danny Parker of Tabor City and Timmy Parker of Whiteville; ten grandchildren, Denise Lee (Joe), Kayla Cannon (Joe), Sandy M. Cribb (Albert), Matt Horne (“BJ”) Tyler Horne (Amber), Jessica Ward (Joey), Katie Horne, Jeremy Horne, Jared Horne, and Andrew Hardee (Abby); and 11 great-grandchildren.
Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn is serving the family.
