David “Butch” Miller Carter, III age 77 of High Point and formerly of Chadbourn went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 7, 2021.
Final rites will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 13, 2021, at Worthington Funeral Home with Dr. David Vess officiating. Interment will follow in Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 2:45 pm prior to the service on Saturday.
He was the son of the late David Miller Carter, Jr. and Alene Hunt Carter and was also preceded in death by his wife, Venetta Winnies Carter in 2014.
He is survived by his son, David F. Carter of Herndon, VA and a daughter, Lisa Carter Telink (Peter) of Rogers, Arkansas, Ar.; a sister, Pamella Carter Aldridge of Durham; six grandchildren, Megan Denise Telink, Catherine Telink, Peter Telink, David John Carter, Emily Rose Carter and Ethan Scott Carter.
