August 22, 1928 ~ November 2, 2021 (age 93)
Dorothy “Dot” Duncan Borino, age 93 of the Ward Station Community in Chadbourn, peacefully slipped into the presence of her Lord on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at the Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Center in Whiteville.
Dot, as she was lovingly known, was born on August 22,1928, in Columbus County, to the late Victor Roy Duncan and Elverta Sellers Johnson. She is also predeceased by two siblings, Arvell Duncan and Kenneth Johnson.
Final rites will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Worthington Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in the Wards Station Church of God Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Saturday, November 6, 2021 (prior to the service)
Survivors include her two daughters, Shirley Ann Regan of Richmond, VA, Barbara Lynn McGuire of Snellville, GA; siblings, Grady Duncan of Chadbourn, Willa Dean Boyd of Mebane, Carrie J. Rising of Tabor City, Richard Johnson of Tabor City, Ronnie Johnson of South Carolina; grandchildren, Lori Dearing, Lisa Smith, Jennifer Brummett, Michael McGuire; great-grandchildren, Thomas, Michelle, Alex, Sam, Allison, Jaelyn, Jared, Jonathan, and Jenelle.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in memory of Dot Borino, to the Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Center- 206 Warrior Trail Whiteville, NC 28472.
