September 18, 1945 ~ November 1, 2021 (age 76)
Rev. Henry Vernon McKeithan (Dockie) age 76 of Nakina, died in his home Monday, November 1, 2021.
Born in Columbus County, NC, he was the son of late Albert Watts and Lucille McLamb Watts.
Henry graduated from Nakina High School and Wake Forest Baptist Seminary. He was a minister in the Baptist Association. He pastored several churches and founded The Will of Christ Community Church in Nakina. He was a dedicated husband and father who loved his Lord Jesus Christ and served him daily.
He is survived by his wife Cathy D. Holbrook McKeithan of the home. Two daughters, JoAnn Reeves and husband Roger of Nakina, Martha Strickland and husband Rev. Jackie of Whiteville. Three sons, Vernon McKeithan and wife Patricia of Nakina, Michael McKeithan of Nakina, and Robert McKeithan of Nakina. Two brothers, Brady Watts of Nakina, NC, Albert Watts of Conway, SC, twelve grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Jeanette Watts and one brother, Ned Watts.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 3:00pm in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Watts Cemetery on Seven Creeks Hwy, in Nakina.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
