Reverend Carl Nicola “Nick” Moorhead, age 73 of Whiteville went to be with his Savior on Sunday morning, November 7, 2021, at his residence.
Nick, was born on September 28, 1948 in Boston, MA to the late Carl D. Moorhead and Pearl Louise Diamond Moorhead.
Nick served as the chaplain at Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville for 10 years and later was a pastor at several churches in the area.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 4:00 p.m. Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Peace Baptist Church with Reverend Steven Cox and Reverend Willard McPherson officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until time of the service at the church.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Janice Richardson Moorhead; a daughter, Kristy M. Torress (Abel) of Amarillo, TX; a son, Scott David Moorhead of Hinton, OK; two grandchildren, Karla Villalovos (Matias) and Samuel Torres both of Amarillo, TX; 4 great-grandchildren, Marcus, Valeska, Eva and Paul.
