Whiteville Christmas Parade Dec. 5

The Whiteville Christmas Parade is on for Dec. 5.

Peace Baptist Church took over management of the parade several years ago, when it was in danger of being cancelled. After last year’s parade was a victim of the pandemic, organizers are looking forward to bringing the Christmas spirit back downtown with all the jollity the area can handle.

There is no charge for individuals, churches or dignitaries to participate. Businesses and pageant titleholders will be charged $25 per vehicle.

Candy may be thrown, weather permitting. Only the official Santa Claus will be participating in the parade, so imposters will asked to leave. Four-wheelers and equines are not allowed.

The parade will go from Smith Street near the courthouse to Frazier Street downtown.

You can fill out the application below and return it to the Chamber of Commerce or the WTXY/ColumbusCountynews.com offices in downtown Whiteville.
