Mrs. Willa Mae Norris age 82, of the Sandy Plain Community, Tabor City, died early Sunday morning October 31, 2021 in her home with her children by her side.
Born in Horry County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Jettie Roscoe Fowler and Essie Mae (Lewis) Fowler and the widow of LeGrant Elwood Norris.
She is survived by a son, Terry LeGrant (Shyrl) Norris of Tabor City; a daughter, Dinah (Donnie) Thompkins of Tabor City; brother, Jerry Lynn Fowler of Loris; sisters, Kathleen Fipps of Loris and Irene Phipps of Tabor City; seven grandchildren, Grant Norris (Nicole), Bradley Thompkins (Candace), Holley Norris (Kramer), Jeana Jernigan (Austin), Danny Vogel (Rebecca), Melissa Branagan, and Kyle Everett; and nine great-grandchildren. The family would like to give a special thanks to all her caregivers.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, William Roscoe “Bud” Fowler and Charles Wayne Fowler, and a sister, Juanita Porter.
A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Inman Ward Funeral Home, with Rev. Marcus Fowler officiating. Burial will follow in Sandy Plain Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
