ATMC has announced that in 2022 they will begin doing business as FOCUS Broadband. ATMC said in a news release that the change in name is being due to the company’s evolution from a traditional telephone and cable TV provider to one that specializes in providing fiber optic delivered, high-speed internet service.
We believe FOCUS Broadband is a more accurate reflection of what our company is becoming as we expand our reach using fiber optic broadband as our core service offering,” CEO Keith Holden said in the release.
This rebranding coincides with the launch of a multi-year $100 million dollar project that will connect all members to their fiber optic broadband in new markets in southeastern North Carolina.
Along with the new name, the company will have a new logo and web address. FOCUSbroadband.com.
ATMC was founded in 1955 as a telephone service cooperative to service rural unserved areas of Brunswick County.
