NBA
There was no payback last night in the Spectrum Center for the Charlotte Hornets. After a tough overtime loss to Philadelphia in their last game, the Hornets suffered back-to-back loses to the 76er’s 110-106. Joel Embid led all scorers with 32 point, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Gordon Hayward led Charlotte 31 points and 7 assists. Kelly Oubre Jr. Led all rebounders grabbing 10 boards. The 76er’s host the Utah Jazz tonight. 7pm tip off on NBA TV.

Two other games going on tonight in the NBA. The Los Angeles Lakes will travel to Memphis to take on the Grizzlies and the Denver Nuggets head to San Antonio to take on the Spur’s.

In other NBA related news. Former NBA player and current ESPN analyst and show host Jalen Rose filed for divorce against his fellow ESPN employee and moderator, Molly Qerim. The couple has been married three years.

NHL
Last night’s Nationally televised game was a close one. The Las Vegas Knights held on to beat the Dallas Stars 5-4. The Vancouver Canucks win in a shoot-out 2-1 over the Boston Bruins. The New York Rangers fall 7-3 to the Colorado Avalanche at Madison Square Garden and in the “Battle of the Turnpike”, the New Jersey Devils shut out the Flyers 3-0.

There is a full slate of games tonight on the NHL schedule, including Carolina. The Hurricanes are in Calgary to take on the Flames. This game has a 9pm start. Check your local listings for your favorite team.

NFL
Thursday Night Football tonight at 8:20pm on FOX. The Pittsburgh Steelers head to Minnesota to take on the Vikings. The Carolina Panthers are also on FOX this Sunday at 1pm, the host the Atlanta Falcons. Both teams are 5-7. The Chicago Bears are in Green Bay Sunday Night to take on the Packers on NBC. Monday Night Football gives us the league leading, 10-2 Cardinals against a high scoring Los Angeles Rams squad. This game is in Arizona.

NCAA
The North Carolina Tar Heels host Elon Saturday night on the ACC Network. Tip-off is 8pm. On Tuesday, the Tar Heels are on ESPN2 at 8pm. A tough Furman squad will head into North Carolina looking for a victory. Duke’s next game is December 14. They will host the 1-7 South Carolina State Bulldogs. The Blue Devils are 7-1 on the season. This game is on the ACC Network with an 8pm tip-off scheduled.

LOCAL
The 3-1 Lady Wolfpack are back in action tonight. They travel to New Hanover with a 7pm start. The Whiteville boys are back at it Friday. The Wolfpack are looking to bounce back after a tough loss on Monday. They will host the East Bladen Eagles with an early 6pm start time.

West Columbus also travels to Lake View tonight. The Vikings are 4-1 on the season.

Last night the East Columbus Gators took a 49-37 loss at the hands of the Hoggard Vikings. The Gators have lost four straight. East Columbus will face a high scoring North Brunswick team tonight. The Scorpions head into the swamp with a 4-1 record.

Finally last night the West Brunswick Trojans took care of business against South Columbus 58-36. The Stallions are 0-8 on the season.
