Donna Buffkin Shelley, 71, passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021 at home. Born September 26, 1950 in Columbus County, NC, daughter of the late Jamison and Lucille (Strickland) Buffkin.
Donna was the office manager and insurance clerk for Doctors Stout & Grubb for many years. She was very active in Green Sea Baptist Church, formerly teaching Sunday School and serving as treasurer, as well as many other capacities. She loved beach music, shagging, and family, and her favorite scripture was Isiah 40:31. Donna loved yard work, traveling, and sightseeing.
Survivors include her husband, Tony Shelley of the home; son, Ryan (Becky) Shelley of Socastee, SC; daughter, Hope (Chad) Sarvis of Loris; brothers, Terry (Princess Ann) Buffkin of Loris and Lane (Sue) Buffkin of Whiteville; sister, Mary O’Brien of California; brothers in law, Butch Hopkins and Bob Gray; sister in law, Barbara Buffkin; grandchildren, Brittany (Kyle) Shoe, Zack Shelley, Gannon Sarvis, and Savannah Sarvis; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Kenny Buffkin and sisters, April Gray and Linda Hopkins.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 15, 2021 in Green Sea Baptist Church, with Rev. Charles Brust officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 AM prior to the service.
