Elder Freddie J. Lucas 76, of Chadbourn, transitioned on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted on Saturday December 18th 2021 at 1:00pm from The Refuge Church of Deliverance, 199 Forest Drive, Whiteville, where Pastor Kevin Davis is pastor; Apostle Emmanuel Cooper will be eulogizing. Burial will be in The Evergreen Community Cemetery, Evergreen.
A walk through viewing will be held on Friday December 17th from 3 to 5pm in The Smith Funeral Home Chapel. Viewing will follow the service on Saturday.
Elder Lucas is survived by his children: Georgia Davis of Lumberton, Margaret Ann Lucas of Chadbourn, Mike Lucas of Chadbourn, Elder Junior Thompson of Whiteville, and Herbert James Lucas of Green Sea, SC; two sisters: Deloris Lucas of Whiteville, Rhonda McCollum of Lumberton, a host of grandchildren, great grands, 3 great great grands, nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving family members and friends.
Friends may visit the home of Elder Junior Thompson at 131 Mill Pond Rd, Lot # 218 Whiteville.
