In local boys Varsity High School basketball action Tuesday, it was a close one as the West Columbus Vikings marched into West Brunswick and beat the Trojans 66-64.
The North Brunswick Scorpions stung the South Columbus Stallions 72-39.
East Columbus Gators went to West Bladen, where the Knight’s took care of business 53-38.
In a game that started slow, but finished strong, The Whiteville Wolfpack opened their 2021-2022 season with a “W”. They put on a strong game as they took control and won 42-31.
On the girls’ side of the schedule the West Brunswick Trojans dominated from start to finish over West Columbus 61-9.
North Brunswick Lady Scorpions also stung the Stallions of South Columbus 42-21.
East Columbus Gators won easily over West Bladen. The Knights fell 51-29.
What started out as a run-away turned into a nail-biter in Whiteville. The Lady Wolfpack held on to win 40-35 over the Cougars of South Brunswick.

The Lake View Wild Gators will go to South Columbus to face the Stallions. 6 p.m. tip-off.
The North Brunswick Scorpions head to West Columbus to face the Vikings for a 7 p.m. tip-off.

South Columbus will face West Brunswick with a 3:30 p.m. tip-off.
Whiteville goes to the Nest to play the Eagles of East Bladen. This game has a 6 p.m. tip-off.
East Columbus will travel to North Brunswick. 7 p.m. tip-off for this game.
West Bladen versus West Columbus.
GIRLS

North Brunswick heads to West Columbus with a 6 p.m. start.

South Columbus goes on the road to West Brunswick. This game has a 4 p.m. tip-off.
The East Columbus Gators go to North Brunswick.
Whiteville and East Bladen will face off in the Eagles nest.
