Kelton Tyson 85, of Whiteville passed on December 6, 2021 in New Hanover Regional Medical Center. He was born March 25, 1936 in Robeson County, the son of the late Louis Tyson and Frances Smith Tyson.
Mr. Tyson, a life long resident of Columbus County owned and operated Tyson Tire Sales in Whiteville for 51 years.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Gladys Memory Tyson; three sons, Roger Dean Tyson and wife, Deanna of Whiteville, Ricky Gene Tyson of Whiteville, Ronnie Tyson and wife, Juanita of the Virgin Islands; a brother, Ervin Tyson and wife, Sue of Whiteville; sisters, Margie Sellers of Whiteville and Careleen Suggs of Whiteville, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Kelton Ray Tyson; his parents; brother-in-laws, John Sellers and Carlisle Suggs.
