Raymond McArthur Hill, Sr. age 78 of Wilmington and formerly of Columbus County, passed on Friday, December 3, 2021.
Final rites will be held at 11:00 am Monday, December 13, 2021, at Worthington Funeral Home with Reverend Danny Lewis officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday at Worthington Funeral Home.
He was the son of the late James Alton Hill and Beatrice Andrews Hill. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Tammie Hill Bates and a sister, Mary Jane Nixon.
He honorably served his country in the United States Navy for 15 years.
Survivors include his wife, CeCe Hill of the home; children, Raymond McArthur Hill, Jr. (Kate) of Sumter, SC, Stephanie Hill Cox (Robin) of Chadbourn, Alex Noble (Bianca) of Wilmington; a stepdaughter, Rona Cres Hugh (Shane) of Wilmington; siblings, James “Jim” Hill of Raleigh, Paul Edward Hill of Wilmington and Jerry Hill (Louise) of Florida; 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
