Brenda Lamb Altman, 75, of Tabor City, the widow of Russell M. Altman, Sr., passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 in Whiteville. She was born March 12, 1946 in Coward, SC, a daughter of the late Barney and Rudolph (Anderson) Lamb.
She is survived by a son, Russell M. Altman, III; two daughters, Gina (Wes) Grainger and Sherry (Richard) Sperry; two sisters, Bonnie Faye Kennedy and Diane Euten; five grandchildren, Weston Grainger, Raven (Austin) Ward, Madison (Katlin) Grimes, Carrigan (Isaac) Sperry, and Jase Altman; great-grandchildren, Anniston Ward and Kendall and Kellan Grimes; and her dog she adored, Finley Taylor.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Patricia Ann Ray; siblings, Vivian Jones, Anita Galloway, Bobby Matthews, Jimmy Matthews, Harold Matthews, and Linda Strickland; and other family members and friends
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 21, 2022, at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Nichols, SC, with Dr. Benji Hutson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday at Inman Ward Funeral Home Tabor City.
