1/11/22 Daily Sports Wrap Up
NCAA Men’s Football: The Georgia Bulldogs got their revenge and beat Alabama 33-18 to win the National Championship Game. The first half featured both teams trading field goals and the Bulldogs trailing 9-6. The first touchdown of the game was scored, with just over a minute remaining in the third quarter, by Georgia. That score opened the gates for the fourth quarter, in which there was a combined 29 points scored. Georgia sealed the deal in style with a pick-six by Kelee Ringo, Ringo also had six tackles.
NFL: Dave Gettleman resigns as the GM of the New York Giants. The new GM will decide if head coach Joe Judge will remain with the team. The Giants, Vikings and Bears now all need new general managers.

First time in the history of the wildcard playoffs there will be a game on a Monday night.
NBA Last Night:
The Hornets beat the Milwaukee Bucks again, this time the score 103-99. They also beat the Bucks 114-106 on Saturday. Terry Rozier once again led the Hornets with 27 points, adding 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Miles Bridges had a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Kris Middleton led the Bucks in scoring and assists, with 27 points and 11 assists. Giannis Antetokounmpo led everyone in rebounds with 13 and added 26 points.
The Hornets are back on the road tomorrow, as they travel to Philly to take on the 76ers at 7pm. The Hornets are 22-19 and are in second place in the Southeast division.

NHL: Hurricanes game in Philadelphia tonight has been postponed. The Islanders versus the Flames has also been postponed. Both due to Covid-19 protocols. The Hurricanes are back home Thursday, at 7pm, as they welcome the Blue Jackets into PNC Arena. Carolina is 24-7-1 on the season and sit in first place in the Metroplitan Division.
