February 25, 1928 ~ January 23, 2022 (age 93)
Elizabeth Carter Coleman, age 93, of Chadbourn, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at her residence, with her family by her side.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at Worthington Funeral Home, with Pastor Wendell Ray and Pastor Willard McPherson officiating. Interment will follow in the Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 2:00-2:45, prior to the service.
“Lib”, as she was lovingly known, was the daughter of the late George Cleveland Caret and Olive Mae Robinson Carter.
Lib was a member of China Grove Missionary Baptist Church, of which she attended faithfully for many years, as her health allowed.
Mrs. Coleman is survived by four children, Barbara C. Dyson and her husband, Tommy of Chadbourn, Jerry Lee Coleman of Matagorda, TX, Jimmy Coleman of Chadbourn and Mildred C. Smith of Hallsboro; grandchildren, Denise Stephens, Wayne Justin Coleman, Jerri Ann Coleman, Jeff Coleman, Jimmy Coleman, Jr., Crystal Butler, Kayla Kanipe, and Chris Smith; great-grandchildren, Ayden Kanipe, Mykela Kanipe, Christin Hughes, Amber Stephens, Bella Grace Kanipe and Ann Marie Butler.
The family wishes to thank the loving staff of Lower Cape Fear LifeCare for their compassionate care extended to our Mother, during her illness.
