Joyce Evelyn Thurman, 68, formerly of Hallsboro, died Sunday, January 9, 2022, at University Hospital in Newark, NJ.
The funeral will be 11:00 AM Saturday, January 22, at Peoples Funeral Chapel by Rev. Kendall Thurman. Burial will be in the Hallsboro Memorial Park.
Viewing will be at the funeral home Saturday one hour prior to the service.
Surviving are her twin sons, Demetri Thurman and Darius Thurman of Newark, NJ; sisters, Emma Young (Joseph) of Cincinnati, OH, Claudia Layton of Godwin, NC, Marjorie Thurman of Princeton, NJ, and Sarah Mobley (Eddie) of Baxley, GA; brothers, Franklin H. Thurman (Karen) of Whiteville, NC, Grayer Thurman (Violet) of North Plainfield, NJ, and Francis D. Thurman (Debra) of Linden, NJ.
