Margie Ivey Floyd, age 78 of the Macedonia Community in Evergreen, entered into the presence of her Lord on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville, N.C.
Margie was born on May 9, 1943 to the late Hobson Leroy and Vera Estelle Nance Ivey.
Margie, along with her late husband, Bobby Floyd, were retired farmers in the Macedonia Community and owned and operated Floyd’s Grocery for more than 20 years. She was a lifetime member of the Macedonia Baptist Church which she attended faithfully.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 29, at the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Jimmy Caines officiating.
Visitation will be held from 1:00-1:45 p.m. prior to the service on in the Sanctuary of Macedonia Baptist Church in Evergreen.
Survivors include two daughters, Donna F. Godwin and her husband, Kevin, of Evergreen, Angela Floyd of Evergreen; a son Greg Floyd (Rhonda) of North Myrtle Beach, S.C.; eight grandchildren; Brett Godwin (Emily), Andrea Godwin Cartrette (Allen), Whitney Godwin Williamson (Brian), Morgan Priest Coleman (Chris), Cory Priest, Kainan Floyd, Tailor Godwin, and Haleigh Godwin; three great grandchildren, Rylee Godwin, Bryson Godwin, and Baileyanna Cartrette; siblings, Linda Brown of Evergreen, Janice Brown (Carl) of Evergreen, Wayne Ivey (Dana) of Evergreen, Harold Ivey (Jeanne) of Fletcher, NC.
