NFL – AFC: The Bengals upset the Chiefs 27-24, as they intercepted a tipped pass from Patrick Mahomes, as he entered the redzone in overtime. Joe Burrow did not think he would even see the field in the overtime quarter, stating “You know what happens when he (Mahomes) gets the ball to start overtime…” Joe then got his chance. Burrow marched them down the field and the Bengals completed the 18-point comeback as McPhearson hit a 31-yard field goal to send Cincinatti to the Super Bowl for the first time since 1988. This makes two consecutive seasons that Kansas City and Patrick Mahomes have been beaten in the AFC Championship game. It is the first time a second year, first-round draft pick has taken his team to the Super Bowl. The only players to win both the National Title and Super Bowl are Joe Montana and Joe Nameth. Joe Burrow hopes to be added to that list, it looks like he already meets the first requirement of having the first name Joe. If added to that list Burrow would be on a list of his own, as the only Heisman Trophy winner, National Champion in college and the Super Bowl Championship! I will keep you up to date on this, all you have to do is stay with me and the Daily Sports Wrap Up.

NFL – NFC: It was another great playoff game as the Los Angeles Rams hit a 30-yard field goal to break the tie and give the Rams the lead with under two minutes left in the game (1:46) and they held on to win 20-17. It was the first time in NFL history that a conference championship game was played in the site of the upcoming Super Bowl. Last year was the first time the home team played in their home stadium for the Super Bowl (Tampa Bay). So, obviously this would be the first time the home team played in their home stadium in back-to-back years for the Super Bowl. Super Bowl LVI (56) is Feb 13 at 6:30pm, in Los Angeles at SoFi Stadium.

Josh McDaniels is the new head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders. Mcdaniels spent 17 non-consecutive seasons with the New England Patriots, most recently was this past season as the offensive coordinator.

Many news organizations are reporting that Tom Brady is retiring from the game after 22 seasons. Tom Brady has not made any public comment on the statement, but he told the Buccaneers organization he was nowhere close to deciding. Tom Brady Senior has told the Media that his son has not announced his retirement and when he does, he is sure that his family will know before anyone else. When I hear it from Tom Brady’s mouth, then it is only speculation. Stay with the Daily Sports Wrap Up for the up-to-date details on this story.
