NBA: Yesterday’s Scores 

The Knicks lost to the Timberwolves 112-110. Anthony Edwards led the Timberwolves with 21 points. Knicks Evan Fortier was the game high scorer with 27 points. 

Warriors beat the Pistons 102-86. Steph Curry scored 18 points and had 8 assists. Klay Thompson has 21 points.

NHL: Carolina wins big 7-1 over the Bruins. Frederik Anderson stopped 32 shot attempts. Jesperi Kotkaniemi led the way for the Hurricanes with 2 goals. Derek Stepan, Andrei Svecknikov, Seth Jarvis, Teuvo Teravainen and Jacob Slavin also scored for Carolina. The Hurricanes are back in action Friday night as they host the Rangers in the PNC Arena. The puck drops at 7pm. 

Jets lost to the Capitals 4-3 

Senators lost 3-1 to the Sabres 

Islanders beat the Flyers 4-3 in a shoot-out, this was a rescheduled game 

Canucks over the Predators 3-1 

Canadiens defeat the Stars 5-3 

Flames beat the Panthers 5-1 

Lightning over the Kings 6-4

NCAA Men’s Basketball:  Yesterday’s Regional Scores

Baylor 77-68 over West Virginia 

UCF wins 91-85 over Eastern Carolina. 27 points and 6 rebounds for Tristen Newton, Brandon Johnson had 10 points and 8 rebounds, and Brandon Suggs had 7 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the Pirates. 

North Carolina lost in Miami 85-57. Armando Bacot had a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds. The Tar Heels are back at it Saturday at Wake Forrest, 8pm on the ACC Network. 

Davidson beats Virginia Commons 63-61. Wildcats Luka Brajkovic had 19 points and 5 rebounds, Foster Loyer had 14 points, and Hyunjung Lee had 6, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists. 

Duke gets upset at Florida State 79-78 in overtime. Paolo Banchero led the Blue Devils with 20 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists. Caleb Mills had 18 points and John Butler had 14 points for the Seminoles. Duke’s next game is Saturday at home versus Syracuse. Tip-off is scheduled for noon on ESPN.

South Columbus Girls Varsity are now 0-14 this season, the Stallion lost 48-37 to Heide Trask yesterday. 

Boys Varsity Basketball:  South Columbus lost 86-43 to Heide Trask 

Whiteville Wolfpack wins 60-56 against West Columbus
