Lacy Ira Barfield, age 85 of Chadbourn passed away on Friday morning, February 18, 2022, at his home.
Lacy was born on July 28, 1936, in Columbus County, to the late David Duckery Barfield and Agnes Horne Barfield. He was also receded in death by his brothers, Pearlie Barfield and Ernest Joe Barfield.
Funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, February 21, 2022 at Worthington Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 20, 2022, at the funeral home.
Mr. Barfield retired from the Department of Public Safety.
Lacy is survived by his daughter, Lily Nicole Barfield Creech (Lamar) of Whiteville; sister, Judy Barfield Yates (Ray) of Chadbourn; grandchildren, Matthew Creech, and Ember Creech.
