Margaret Shelley Lanier, age 77, of Chadbourn, NC, died Saturday, February 6, 2022 in the McLeod Loris Hospital. Born April 21, 1944 in Columbus County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Hoyt Shelley and Donnie Fowler Shelley.
She is survived by two sons: Richie Lanier of Clarendon, NC and Shannon Lanier and wife Alicia of Clarendon, NC; one sister: Mary Jo Strickland of Wilmington, NC; and four grandchildren: Richie Lanier III, Kaitlyn Lanier, Blake Lanier and Hayden Lucas Lanier.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother: Jerry Shelley; and two sisters: Dewilla Mansfield and Sheila Osbourne.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
