Shawn Lynn Ward, age 49 of Whiteville, passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at his home, surrounded by family; his battle with cancer has now ended.
Shawn was born on June 3, 1972, the son of the late Lealon Carlton Ward and Bonnie Miriam Tedder Ward.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at the Flynn Cemetery in Whiteville, with Pastor Charles Cribb, of New Life Community Church officiating.
The family will speak to friends following the service.
Survivors include his three children, Laython Turner Ward of Hallsboro, Juston Blake Ward of (Shelby) of Hallsboro, and Lindsey P. Ward (Chad Hilburn) of Whiteville; brother, Lealon Carlton Ward, Jr. of Leland; grandchildren, Weslynn Hilburn, Fisher Ward, and Brighton Ward.
