NBA: The trade deadline is approaching fast. There should be some interesting move starting to happen around the league. The deadline is Feb 10.
Last Night: The Cavaliers won 102-101 in a close game that came down to the last seconds. Charlotte took a late lead, but Kevin Love hits his free throws to give Cleveland the lead with just over three seconds left on the game clock. Terry Rozier was the high scorer for the Hornets with 24 points. Kelly Oubre Jr. was a game time decision and scored 21 points and had 9 rebounds. LaMelo Ball had 15 points. The Hornets are now 28-25. The Miami Heat are in town tonight for a 7pm tip-off.

MLB: The Major League Players association has rejected the request by the owners for Congress to intervein to help put an end to the work stoppage. Pitchers and catchers are due to report to spring training in two weeks.
NHL: The All-Star skills competition was last night. St, Louis Blues forward Jordan Kyrou won the fastest skater with 13.55 seconds. The Fountain Faceoff is the recent version of the accuracy contest. Players had to hit five targets in the least amount of time. Zach Werenski had the fastest time of 25.634 seconds, compared to the second-place time of 47.454 by Roman Josi. Victor Hedman won the hardest shot with 103.2 mph. Adam Pelech finished second with a 102.2 mph shot.
The NHL All-Star game is today in Paradise, Nevada at the T-Mobile Arena. The home of the Las Vegas Golden Knights, the game is at 3pm on ABC.
