Olympics: The first medal for the USA comes in Slopestyle snowboarding. Julia Marino won a Silver Medal. It was the event favorite from New Zealand, Zoi Sadowski-Synnott took home the gold medal. Tess Coady from Australia won the bronze medal.
NBA: The trade deadline is Feb 10.
Last Night: The Miami Heat beat the Hornets 104-86. Charlotte had a 51-46 lead at halftime but scored only eight points in the third quarter compared to the Heats 35 points, the Hornets were never able to catch up. Terry Rozier finished with 16 points, Miles Bridges had 15, LaMelo Ball ended the game with 12 points and 6 rebounds for Charlotte. Jimmy Butler had 27 points, Bam Adebayo had 20 points and 12 rebounds and Tyler Hero finished with 19 points for Miami. Next up for Charlotte is Toronto at the Spectrum Center tomorrow night at 7pm.
Grizzlies beat up the Magic 135-115. Ja Morant finished with 33 points and Steven Adams had a 12-point, 11 rebound double-double with 8 assists.
The Wizards lost to the Suns 95-80.
Knicks fall to the Lakers 122-115 in overtime. LeBron James returns to action after being out for five games. He finished with a triple-double, scoring 29 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists. Malik Monk also scored 29 points. Anthony Davis had another strong double-double with 28 points and 17 rebounds for the Lakers. RJ Barrett had 36 points and 8 rebounds and Julius Randle had a double-double with 32 points and 16 rebounds.
Kings defeat the Thunder 113-103
Bucks run the Trail Blazers off the floor 137-108. Giannis Antetokounmpo had 29 points and 9 rebounds, Bobby Portis had 30 points and Kris Middleton finished with 14 points and 7 assists.

NHL: The NHL All-Star game was yesterday in Paradise, Nevada at the T-Mobile Arena. Claude Giroux was named the game MVP, the Flyers captain had 3 goals, 2 in the final. The Metropolitan Division beat the Central Division 5-3 and won a million-dollar prize to split among the team.
Panthers host the NHL All-Star game in 2023.
The Hurricanes are back after the All-Star break on the ice Feb 7, in Toronto.
NCAA Men’s Basketball Yesterday:
Coach Mike Krzyzewski is now 18-5 at the Dean Smith Center with the 87-67 win. It was Coach K’s largest win against the Tar Heels yesterday. Duke sits in first place in the ACC. Paolo Banchero had a double-double, he finished with 13 points and 10 rebounds and AJ Griffin had 27 points for Duke. The Blue Devils host Virginia tomorrow at 7pm on ESPN. Brady Manek led the Tar Heels with 21 points and 6 rebounds. Caleb Love finished with 8 points and 4 assists for North Carolina. The Tar Heels are at Clemson Feb 8, on the ACC Network at 6pm.
Wake Forest defeats Florida State 68-60. Alondes Williams finished with 23 points and 8 rebounds. Jake LaRavia 18 points, 13 rebounds and 9 assists for the Demon Deacons.
UNC Greensboro beats Furman 58-56
North Carolina A & T falls to Gardner-Webb 69-62
Davidson takes care of George Washington 78-73. The Wildcats are now 19-3 on the season. Luka Brajkovic had 30 points and 8 rebounds for Davidson.
Eastern Carolina lost at Tulane 86-66
Notre Dame wins 69-57 at North Carolina State
North Carolina-Wilmington takes down William & Mary 92-70
Campbell travels to USC Upstate and wins 80-71
Marshall gets beaten by Charlotte 88-64
Charleston beats Elon 66-64
Baylor loses another one, Kansas wins 83-59. Baylor is 19-4 and Kansas is 19-3 on the season.
Coppin State gets nipped by North Carolina Central 69-68
Coastal Carolina goes to Texas State and loses 69-64
UNC Ashville lost to High Point 91-83 in overtime
NFL: The Pro-Bowl is at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas at 3pm today.
Super Bowl LVI (56) is Feb 13 at 6:30pm, in Los Angeles at SoFi Stadium.
