MLB:  MLB will stop testing players for steroids and yesterday he announced that the DH (Designated Hitter) rule has been instated into the National League, this means that the pitchers will no longer bat during the games. 

NBA:  Hornets score third highest point total in Franchise history and defeat the Pistons 141-119. Montrezl Harrell had 15 points in his Charlotte debut, LaMelo Ball had 31 points and 12 rebounds, Terry Rozier finished with a triple-double scoring 25 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists, Miles Bridges had 25 points. Charlotte is back on the court tonight as they host the Grizzlies at 7pm.
