Local Sports: The Conference Tournament at Pender High School is this week. Both Whiteville teams are the number one seed in the tournament and have a bye in the first round. Both teams will play Thursday, at Pender, in the semi-finals.

NBA: James Harden is out till after the All-star break for New Jersey due to his hamstring.
Last Night: Pistons lost to the Wizards 103-94. Pistons eighth straight loss.
Thunder beat Knicks 127-123 in overtime. Josh Giddey is the youngest player with back-to-back triple doubles, Josh finished with 28 points, 11 rebounds, and 12 assists. Julius Randle had a triple-double for the Knicks, ending the game with 30 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists.
Kings fall to the Nets 109-85. Seth Curry scores 23 points in his Nets debut and Brooklyn’s losing streak stops at 11 games.
Bucks lost to the Trail Blazers 122-107. Giannis Antetokounmpo did not play
Spurs fall to the Bulls 120-109. 40 points for the Bulls’ DeMar DeRozen.
Raptors lost to the Pelicans 120-90
Rockets cannot handle the Jazz 135-101
Nuggets defeat the Magic 121-111. Nikola Jokic scores his 11th straight double-double for Denver, he finished with 26 points, 15 rebounds, and 7 assists.
Clippers beat the Warriors 119-104. LA has won its last six against Golden State.

WNBA: The Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame newest inductees have been announced. Becky Hammon, DeLisha Milton-Jones, Penny Taylor, and Alice “Cookie” Barron are the players entering the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame. The Hall opened in 1999 and this is the 23rd class to enter the shrine. There were other members inducted as well, they were coaches from the league.
MLB: Major League Baseball wants to lower the number of players allowed on teams’ minor league rosters. They would like to start downsizing teams by 2024.
NHL: Panthers face the Hurricanes in Carolina, tomorrow at 7:30pm at the PNC Arena. The game is on TNT.
