MLB:  Major League Baseball and the Players Union met yesterday to try and end the work stoppage. After the meeting, the MLB says it feels like they have taken steps backwards in the negotiations. The Players Union asked for additional room in the salary cap and the MLB asked for a second time for a congress intervention, the union also denied that request for a second time. Both sides plan on meeting today. The spring training for the upcoming season has already been put on hold and there is no solution in sight.
